Elevate Your Wellbeing with Yoga and Physio Pilates

Discover the transformative power of movement, mindfulness, and inner balance.

Physio Pilates focuses on improving the conditioning of the entire body in a balanced, non-impact approach, which in turn helps the body function more efficiently. Pilates concentrates on activating the core muscles of the body, both the inner core muscles, transverse abdominous, pelvic floor, diaphragm, multifidus, as well as the outer core muscles, the gluteals, internal and external obliques, rectus abdominus, etc., so that they work together to improve posture and strength.
Physio Pilates is based on the latest evidence in exercise therapy.

Strengthen, Align, and Renew with Expert Physio Instructors

Yoga consists of postures that work to strengthen and make the body more supple, which in turn reduces pain and stiffness. Breathing techniques in Yoga help increase vitality, improve the respiratory system, and strengthen the nervous system by lowering any over-sensitivity that may contribute to pain or discomfort in the body. Meditation practices in Yoga help to calm the mind and reduce stress in the body, which in turn reduces overall pain and discomfort.

Physio Pilates and Yoga are Suitable for All Ages

Physio Pilates and Yoga are suitable for all ages as it is a low-impact exercise programme carried out on a mat. A few light props may be used in Pilates, such as a theraband, and later, when you’re ready to progress and challenge your core strength, physio balls can be used.

Falls and poor balance are a primary concern for the older population, and studies have shown that Pilates and Yoga can significantly improve static and dynamic balance. By building strength in your abdominals, gluteals, arms and legs, your coordination improves, and you develop a greater sense of body awareness that improves your balance and makes you more stable on your feet. This, in turn, increases your confidence in carrying out daily activities.
